The Verdello lemon – so called because of its light green coloured rind, has an excellent taste but, compared with the Primofiore variety, the flesh is less juicy and has a slightly lower acidity. The Fresher and more marked perfume is also appreciated compared with yellow lemons. Along with the juice, the green rind, rich with essential oils, is makes it particularly adapted as an ingredient for many uses in the kitchen.
